Scholarship Program

The Mary Alice Yakich Educational Foundation works directly with our educational partners to select scholarship recipients. This annual program is by invitation only. Once selected as a Mary Alice Yakich Educational Foundation Scholar, the student can re-apply annually for continued funding.

Our Mary Alice Yakich Educational Foundation Scholars come from all walks of life and are driven by a common purpose …  to be the best they can be, and to achieve and succeed not only in the classroom, but in their communities as well.

Mary Alice Yakich understood the value of a good education, and knew the importance of giving back to her community. She was not only a political pioneer, she also understood what it meant to be a part of something bigger than herself. She had drive, determination, and compassion. She handled herself with a great deal of integrity and character.   It is those characteristics that we strive to see in our Mary Alice Yakich Educational Foundation Scholars.

The Mary Alice Yakich Educational Foundation provides our scholars with opportunities to attend high quality schools that may not have been within their financial reach. We are proud to support these students as they seek to make a difference in their lives and in the lives of others.
